あー寒い、寒い！ キルギスは本格的な冬が到来しました。

最高気温が０度を超えない日もしばしば…。

そんな極寒のキルギスからシャカル石鹸のご紹介❤

なんとこれは、キルギスに昔から伝わる伝説の石鹸なんです。

昔のキルギス人は親戚や、近所の人と一緒にこのシャカル石鹸を作っていました。

しかし、ソ連時代になると工場で生産された安価な石鹸に押され、いつのまにか作る人はいなくなってしまいました。

しかし、このシャカル石鹸を復活させた人たちがいます。

首都ビシュケクから７時間ほどいくと、タスマ村という村があり、そこでナチュラル石鹸、美容クリームを作っている「ブグエネ」という生産団体があります。

「ブグエネ」の女性たちは「シャカル石鹸というこんな大事なキルギスの文化を失ってはいけない。」と考え、シャカル石鹸の作り方を知る高齢の女性に話を聞き、試行錯誤の上、完成させました。 シャカル石鹸とは、ヤギや牛の脂と、キルギス語でエルメンとアラワタと言われる薬草を燃やして作った灰を混ぜて作った石鹸です。

この石鹸は作るのがとっても大変！材料となる灰を作るために、何トンもの薬草を集め、燃やし、その灰を１日かけて大鍋で煮出します。

でも、このシャカル石鹸、アレルギーや湿疹によく効くとキルギス人には大変評判！！

Winter has come in Kyrgyzstan.

Sometimes the temperature is below 0℃.

Today, I introduce “shaker soap” from freezing Kyrgyzstan.

What is shaker soap?

You probably haven’t heard of it.

It’s a traditional soap that Kyrgyz people have been used from a long time ago.

Kyrgyz people used to make shakar soap by themselves with relatives and neighbors.

In the Soviet era, however, people had stopped making shaker soap because cheap soaps produced in factories had chased the traditional soap out.

 

Thus, the recipe of shakar soap was once lost, but recently a group of women have successfully recovered it.

7-hour driving from Bishkek, there is Tasma village, where a group “Bugu Ene” is making natural soaps and skin-care creams.

 

“Bugu Ene” thought that they shouldn’t lose such an excellent Kyrgyz culture.

They asked an old woman who remembers the receipt of shakar soap, and finally succeeded to make it after several attempts.

Shakar soap is made of goat fat or cow fat and ash made by burning herbs called “ Ermen” and “Arawata” in Kyrgyz.

It is so hard to make this soap! To make shaker soap, it is needed to gather tons of herbs, burn them to make ash, and then boil the ash in a large pan during a whole day!

Shakar soap is very popular among Kyrgyz people, being said it is effective for allergy and eczema.
