Event of “eje&” in Chiba, Japan

Hi, sorry for no post for long time!!

Today’s topic is about an event of “eje&” in “Miyazaki-tei”.
“eje&” held an sales and exhibition event in Miyazaki-tei on February, and it’s second time they will have their event there.

This time, they’re preparing much more interesting programs they didn’t have the last time, while that was finished successfully with a lot of favorable comments by people who attended!

-Workshop of needle-felting and talks about Kyrgyzstan-

Let’s make an original item by natural dyed wool of Kyrgyzstan with needles!
(You can make and wool-felt coaster or felt-ball accessory.)

If it’s sunny, we can have the workshop at the beautiful garden of Miyazaki-tei.

At the workshop, you can taste very special central-asian bread called “Nan”.
A Baker from Kyrgyzstan bakes the nan and wait for you!!
And with the nan, they will serve Kyrgyz honey! It’s very natural and taste terrific!!

[ちくちくフェルトのワークショップとキルギスのお話会]

＊ワークショップは5/5(木)•5/7(金)の2日間のみ開催です。

キルギスのお話を聞きながら、草木染め羊毛フェルトとニードル(針)を使って、オリジナルフェルトの小物を作ろう！
(フェルトのコースターに刺繍をしてオリジナルコースターを作成または、フェルトボールをつくりアクセサリーの作成のどちらかを予定しています。材料の仕入れ状況により決まりますので詳細きまりましたら、お知らせします。)

お天気が良ければお庭での開催となります。

キルギスでもよく食べられいるナン(パン)とキルギスのおいしいはちみつもご用意してお待ちしております。

Boz ui(yurt) village/ボズウイ（ユルタ）の村

Hi!This is Kayo(Kanushai- Kyrgyz name).
Today, I will introduce the village where is famous for making Boz ui(yurt).
First of all, I should explain what is Boz ui.

Boz ui is the tent for Nomad. Nomad moved place to place with this tent from the old days  and it is still used in the mountain area of Kyrgyzstan. You can see Boz ui in the grazing land in all parts of Kyrgyzstan.  It is called Yurt in Russian.

The Boz ui is symbol of Kyrgyz and it is in the design of national flag.

Then let me talk about Boz Ui village.
Every Boz ui is hand made and 80% of them are made in Kuzul tuu village.
This village is located in the south shore of Issyk-Kul and surrounded mountains and breath taking nature.

I visited one of the Boz ui maker’s house this weekend.
His name is Mr. Ruslan. His family is consisted of 5member; 4 children, wife and his mother.He is artist himself and his wife is as well.

Since they have live stocks and wheat fields,they are really busy all the time. But, Mr. Ruslan try to find time to make Boz ui, and make one Boz ui within about a month!
His works are particular about the details and really impressed!

ボズウイ作りの村に行ってきました。

ボズウイとは遊牧民の移動式住宅のこと。現在でも、キルギスの全ての地域において夏の放牧地で見る事ができます。ロシア語ではユルタとも言われています。

ボズウイは、その天窓がキルギスの国旗の中央に描かれているほど、キルギスの人のシンボルであり、誇りとなっています。

そんなボズウイを作っているクズルトゥーという村に遊びに行ってきました。

イシククルの南岸に位置し、自然にかこまれたとてものどかな村ですが、その村人のほとんどがボズウイ作りで生計を立てており、８０％ほどのボズウイがこの村で作られているそうです。

今回、お邪魔したルスランさんのおうちは、４人の子どもと奥さんとお母様がいる中くらいの家族。ルスランさんと奥様は芸術家でもあり、とってもにぎやかで、心温まる家族です。

ルスランさんは、ボズウイ作りの傍ら、家畜の世話や小麦畑の手入れなど、毎日大忙し。時間を見つけて、１ヶ月に１つのボズウイを作り上げます。それにもかかわらず、彼の手仕事はとても丁寧で驚くほど。

イシククル南岸に行かれる際には、是非ともクズルトゥー村にお立寄ください。
